Accreditation. Media access to the Press Centre, or to
any other place where Summit events open to press coverage are to be held,
shall be limited exclusively to those journalist who are duly accredited.
They must have their official credentials with them at all times, as well as
their personal identification, and, when appropriate, their pool card.
Euro-Mediterranean Summit credential holders also have the right to receive
credentials granting access to events organised by

To pick up their credentials, journalists must present a passport or national ID
card, and the original copy of a letter from the media outlet
on behalf of which the accreditation has been requested, which shall include
specific mention of the journalist’s name and ID. Credentials must be picked up
at the places and times listed below.
1. Directorate-General for International Information (Subdirectorate-General
for International Information, Moncloa Complex, Madrid), 21-23 November, at the
following times:
21-22 November: 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. – 7 p.m.
23 November: 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
2. The Accreditation Office, located on the first floor of the
Auditorium of the Barcelona International Convention Centre (c/ Taulat, across
from Plaza de Levante), from 25 – 28 November at the following times:
25th, 12 noon – 8 p.m.
26th, 9 a.m. – 8 p.m.
27th, 9 a.m. – 9 p.m.
28th, 8 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Press Centre. The Press Centre is located in the Barcelona
International Convention Centre. A map is available at http://www.ccib.es/ (see section 07 INFO).
Time schedule of the Barcelona International Convention Centre during the
Euromed Summit:
26th: 12:00 am - 9:00 pm
27th: 9:00 am - 1:00 am
28th: 6:30 am - 8:00 pm
Press Centre facilities will include:
- 1 General Information desk, where documentation will be handed out
- 7 Press Conference rooms
- 600 work stations for journalists, equipped with IDSN and broadband
lines, and a Wi-Fi zone
- 100 computers with Internet access
- A sufficient number of printers to deal with the needs of the work
stations
- 60 television booths, with IDSN lines and 14-inch monitors for
closed-circuit reception
- 50 radio booths, with IDSN lines and closed-circuit monitors
- The journalists’ workroom will have large television screens installed
along the walls for following the official broadcasts by TVE (Spanish National
Television). These screens will also be used to announce press
conferences, informative sessions, and other information of interest to
journalists
- Photocopy machines
- Faxes
- Lockers
Requests for television editing booths, radio booths, and press
agency offices should be sent to Francisco Martos Robles ([email protected] or
by fax: 91 321 4080) before 21 November.
Press Conferences. The Summit’s press conferences will be held
in the six conference rooms at the Barcelona International Convention Centre.
The final press conference will be broadcast live via the official signal, as
well as streamed on the Summit website htpp://www.euromedbarcelona.org.
Information regarding dates and times will be announced on the closed-circuit
television screens. The press conference rooms will be equipped with
sound and loudspeaker systems, and be available to all of the official
delegations of attending countries.
- 2 halls for 40 persons each, without simultaneous interpretation booths
- 3 halls for 100 persons each, with simultaneous interpretation booths
for 2 languages
- 1 hall for 400 persons with simultaneous interpretation booths for 4
languages
The functioning of the press conference rooms will be regulated by an advance
reservation system. Reservations for the conference rooms
must be made during the weeks before the Summit.

Radio and television. The Summit’s official television
broadcasts will be generated and distributed by Spanish National Television
(TVE). The TVE liaison officer will be Francisco Cortés, e-mail:
[email protected]. Radio broadcasts will be distributed by
Spanish National Radio (RNE), and the liaison officer will be Ángel López
Alcázar, e-mail: [email protected].
Parking of mobile units. Mobile units may be parked in a
special car park next to the Press Centre on calle Puigcerdá. Drivers
must be duly accredited in the same way as journalists. To receive the
required parking card, the vehicle’s license plate and model number must be
sent to the following fax: (+34) 91 321 42 31.
Parking cards shall be picked up together with journalists’ credentials at the
Accreditation Office. Drivers of mobile units and other vehicles must be
duly accredited for the Summit.
Accommodations. Rooms at the Summit partner hotels may be
reserved through the online reservation centre at http://www.barcelobusiness.com/paginas/icc/promociones/euromed/.

Transportation. A shuttle bus service will be available
for accredited journalists, going to and from the different Summit partner
hotels (listed on the online reservations page) and the Press Centre, with the
following frequencies:
1) A shuttle bus will leave the hotels reserved for the Press every half hour,
stopping at the Accreditations Office and the Press Centre.
2) The shuttle bus between the Accreditations Office and the Press Centre will
leave every 10 minutes.
These shuttle bus services will continue throughout the opening times of the
Press Centre, which are listed below:
Saturday the 26th, noon to 9 p.m.
Sunday the 27th, 9 a.m. to 1 a.m.
Monday the 28th, 6:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Catering. In the cafeteria next to the Press Centre
workroom, a snack bar for journalists will be continuously open.
